How to Focus on the Only Competitor in Your Industry That Truly Matters

The Enemy Within

Being an online fitness coach can sometimes be challenging, right?

Who are we kidding? It's challenging the majority of the time.

You're constantly trying to find the next rock-solid client. You're also trying to think of thoughtful content to post on social media every day.

You focus on endless priorities daily to keep building and scaling your business.

And then there are all those competitors in your industry that you're battling with every damn day.

You feel like everybody wants the clients you have and even the ones you're working your butt off to attract soon.

It's cutthroat out there.

Wanna know a secret?

The only competitor in your industry that truly matters is yourself.

I'll repeat it in case you missed that.

YOU are the only competitor in your industry that truly matters.

"When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you."

-African Proverb

I Know What You're Thinking

Right now, you're probably calling me crazy. Saying to yourself (or out loud) that you absolutely have to be focused on the competition in your space.

There are countless other online fitness coaches out there promising similar results to their clients (and yours).

Some of these people are more experienced than you. They might have a more extensive client base, too. If you don't keep your attention on what they're doing, you'll get crushed, right?

Wrong.

Let me ask you something.

If you're in a consistently negative headspace, do you think your energy will be where it needs to be the next time you interact with one of your clients?

Absolutely not.

What about if you lack focus and are constantly running around trying to do a million different things?

Do you think your current or future clients will feel like you're giving them your undivided attention?

Hell no.

Notice how it made ZERO difference what any of your competitors were doing at this exact moment?

This is what I'm talking about.

Work On Yourself

Prioritize your mental, physical, and emotional health. Have a game plan each day of what you want to accomplish throughout the day. Make sure you're in a good headspace to show up at your best for your current and future clients.

And if you're starting to feel a little burned out, take a short break. Come back when you're ready to fight for your clients and your business.

Being an online fitness coach is hard enough with all the competition.

It's even more difficult when you beat yourself.

That's why you always need to focus on the only competitor in your industry that truly matters.

Yourself.
