When you're a one-person show, all the magic starts and ends with you. Life can present you with an endless list of challenges. You can add being an online fitness coach to that list.
It's all on your shoulders.
Messaging potential clients and trying to schedule a discovery call with them. Posting social media content. Conducting the discovery call. Onboarding new clients. Working with the client 1:1 and helping them achieve their desired results.
And a million other things.
You have to do all of that. I'm not gonna lie; I had a flashback just thinking about it.
Because that was my life. Endless days filled with one urgent task after another. So I get why you're feeling the way you are.
Exhausted?
Overwhelmed?
Not sure where to begin or how to keep the momentum?
Check. Check. Check.
Burnout is real and needs to be avoided at all costs.
Why?
So you can scale your online empire to six figures. Most importantly, so you can maintain your sanity while living life on your own terms.
There are some simple ways to avoid the dreaded "B-word."
Read on to discover what they are so you can take back control of your life and your business.
I'm willing to bet that there are huge reasons why you decided to become a personal trainer in the first place. Maybe, it's because of your own health journey you went on to better yourself.
Or because you saw what neglecting your health did to some of your loved ones. You want to empower others to live a healthy and happy lifestyle because you saw its importance.
People need you, and if you remind yourself of the mission, you'll keep delivering for them. Remind yourself of that whenever you are feeling burnout start to creep in. It'll re-energize you to keep pushing forward.
"Very few people or companies can clearly articulate WHY they do WHAT they do. By WHY I mean your purpose, cause, or belief - WHY does your company exist? WHY do you get out of bed every morning? And WHY should anyone care?"
-Simon Sinek
Your time is your most valuable asset. So start being extremely selective with who and what gets access to it. One easy way to improve your time management is to be ruthless when saying no to things that don't excite you.
A co-worker wants to grab a drink after work and vent about how annoying your boss is?
Say no, thanks.
This conversation isn't going to propel you forward in your business.
See what I mean?
Show no mercy.
Stress is damn-near unavoidable. Until you start discovering ways that work for you to handle it better.
But, let me see if I can help you with that.
Try this tomorrow (and hopefully every day after that):
Don't look at your phone for the first hour that you are awake in the morning.
*Gasp*
That's right, you heard it here first.
Don't check your email or social media. Don't look at the missed text messages or calls from last night. They can wait. If you want to know what the weather is like today, open your door and stand outside for a second.
When you don't start your day off by reacting to what's happening in the world around you, you'll feel more in control of your time.
As soon as the day starts, you won't feel like you're being pulled in ten different directions.
That type of mindfulness will stay with you for the rest of your day. After that hour is up, go ahead and text your boyfriend or girlfriend back. No worries.
Now you know what to do. When burnout starts to rear its ugly head, you can fight back. And keep working to scale your online empire to six figures while maintaining your sanity.
Win-win, baby.
